About the Symposium
Join us for the 5th annual PiCSU chemistry PhD symposium 2026!
The 5th PiCSU PhD Symposium 2026 i is a scientific meeting that provides Ph.D. students in Chemical Sciences at the University of Florence with an opportunity to share their knowledge and showcase their research results. The symposium will feature oral and poster presentations highlighting the achievements obtained by PhD students obtained throughout their research projects.
The 5th PiCSU PhD Symposium 2026 will cover a wide range of topics in the chemical sciences, including new materials, catalysis, organic synthesis, peptide and protein chemistry, computational methods, spectroscopic technologies, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), soft matter, novel analytical methods, and many other interesting areas of research and discussion.
Symposium location
The symposium will take place from 12th to 15th January 2026 at the Scientific campus of the University of Florence in Sesto Fiorentino.
The symposium will also be accessible online via Google Meet

Organizing Committee
Some of the students enrolled in the PhD program in Chemical Sciences volunteered to organize this symposium as members of the organizing committee. The committee created this Symposium in its entirety and made it accessible to all students of the University of Florence to allow all PhD students in Chemical Sciences to share their research projects.
